Newy 87.8 FM – A bush fire is burning at Chisholm Road, East Maitland, with the NSW Rural Fire Service issuing an Advice-level alert for the incident.
The fire, in the Maitland council area, was listed as not yet controlled as of 1:39pm on Tuesday, 16 September 2026.
Fire and Rescue NSW is the responsible agency for the incident.
The blaze was recorded at a size of zero hectares in the latest update from the NSW Rural Fire Service major incidents feed.
Advice is the lowest of the alert levels used by the NSW Rural Fire Service for bush fire incidents.
The alert applies to Chisholm Road, East Maitland, NSW 2323.
