Newy 87.8 FM – Motorists are now using the new Castlerock Road alignment at Muswellbrook, which opened on Thursday, 6 August 2026.
The realignment is part of works associated with the Northern Link Road Project, Muswellbrook Shire Council said.
Traffic has been transferred from the former eastern section of Castlerock Road to the new alignment, with access now via the original Dorset Road/Kayuga Road intersection.
The former eastern section of Castlerock Road, previously accessed from Kayuga Road, has been physically closed to traffic.
Traffic control signage is in place to guide motorists through the new road arrangement.
Motorists are encouraged to follow all signage and drive with care while becoming familiar with the changed traffic conditions.
