Newy 87.8 FM – A grass fire near the Hunter Expressway at Seahampton is under control, according to the NSW Rural Fire Service.
The fire, listed at HUNTER EXP, SEAHAMPTON 2286 in the Lake Macquarie council area, has burnt approximately one hectare.
The NSW Rural Fire Service issued an Advice alert for the incident, the lowest level of bush fire alert.
The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service is listed as the responsible agency for the fire.
The incident details were last updated at 10:46am on Monday, 8 September 2026, when the fire's status was listed as under control.
