Newy 87.8 FM – A grass fire is burning at South Avenue, Cessnock, with the NSW Rural Fire Service issuing an Advice level alert for the incident.
The fire, listed at zero hectares, was not yet controlled as of 5:50pm on Tuesday 16 September, according to the NSW Rural Fire Service major incidents feed.
The NSW Rural Fire Service is the responsible agency for the incident, which falls within the Cessnock council area.
An Advice alert is the lowest of the fire service's alert levels. Residents in the area are encouraged to stay up to date with the latest information from the NSW Rural Fire Service.
