Newy 87.8 FM – A planned hazard reduction burn is being carried out on Lookout Rd at New Lambton Heights, in the Newcastle council area.
The burn, listed as "Jacaranda HR" on the NSW Rural Fire Service major incidents feed, is classified at the Planned Burn alert level.
The fire covers an area of 11 hectares and is listed as under control.
Fire and Rescue NSW is the responsible agency for the operation.
