Newy 87.8 FM – A planned hazard reduction burn is being carried out at Telopea Road, Morisset, in the Lake Macquarie council area.
The burn, named Acacia, is listed at the Planned Burn alert level on the NSW Rural Fire Service major incidents feed.
The NSW Rural Fire Service reports the fire is under control. It covers a size of 31 hectares.
The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service is the agency responsible for the burn.
The incident is classified as a hazard reduction burn, and the feed confirms fire is present at the site.
