Maitland Council launches online system to book 90 community venues

Newy 87.8 FM – Maitland residents and ratepayers can now view, book and pay for 90 community venues across the local government area following the introduction of a new facility booking system.

Maitland City Council has launched Bookable, a platform designed to make booking community spaces easier and more accessible, whether hosting a birthday party at a neighbourhood park or a study session at the local library.

With a Bookable account, users can view upcoming venue availabilities in real time, make a booking on the spot, process payments securely, and edit or cancel bookings at the click of a button.

The system also allows users to filter venues by date range, suburb, capacity and more, simplifying the search for the right space.

Most bookings made through the platform are instantly confirmed.

However, bookings for Maitland's three major venues – Maitland Town Hall, Maitland Regional Sportsground and Maitland Athletics Centre – will be viewed and confirmed by council staff before being locked in.
