Newy 87.8 FM – A man will face court charged with property offences following an extensive investigation near Newcastle, NSW Police announced on Thursday 20 August 2026.
On Tuesday 14 July 2026, police executed a search warrant at a home in Fullerton Cove as part of Operation Horizon.
Operation Horizon was established in June 2026 following a large gathering at a park on Ingall Street, Mayfield.
During the search, police located and seized five motorbikes, clothing, helmets, and electronics.
A 21-year-old man was arrested that day and taken to Waratah Police Station, where he was charged with seven offences. Those matters remain before the courts.
Police then conducted extensive inquiries into several aggravated break and enter incidents over the past 12 months, including the alleged theft of unregistered motorbikes to the value of $250,000.
Following those inquiries, police arrested a man at Raymond Terrace Police Station about 9.30am on Wednesday 19 August 2026.
The 21-year-old man was charged with 33 offences.
He was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court 2 on Thursday 20 August 2026.
