Newy 87.8 FM – Muswellbrook Shire Council is seeking community feedback on its Draft Customer Experience Charter and Service Standard Guidelines, with submissions open until close of business on 29 October 2026.

The draft documents have been developed in response to growing customer expectations and to clearly outline and communicate the Council's response times.

The Draft Customer Experience Charter outlines the Council's commitment to delivering high quality, responsive customer service, while the Service Standards aim to establish clear service expectations and support consistent service delivery, accountability and continual improvement.

Together, the Council says the documents establish clear expectations for service delivery, promote consistency across the organisation, and support the delivery of positive customer experiences.

Residents making a submission should quote "Draft Customer Experience Charter and Service Standard Guidelines". Following the exhibition period, the draft policy will be considered for adoption by Council along with any submissions received.

The Council notes that submissions become a record of Council and are considered open access information under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009, meaning they may be included in Council's meeting business paper and accessible to the public on the Council's website.

Separately, the Council has advised that water supply remains interrupted in parts of Denman Road and the Muswellbrook Industrial Area.
