Newy 87.8 FM – The Newcastle Fringe Festival is recruiting a volunteer treasurer to join its board and help shape the future of the arts in Newcastle.
The festival, which describes itself as Australia's Biggest Little Fringe Festival, is a not-for-profit, volunteer-run organisation.
The role requires a commitment of approximately four hours per month, along with attendance at quarterly committee meetings.
Newcastle Fringe Festival is part of an international movement that champions independent performance artists from all genres, showcasing independent arts in Newcastle.
Organisers say they are seeking someone with a brain for budgets, gusto for governance and stamina for strategy.
Applications close on 31 August 2026 and must include a resume. Applicants can also include additional information about why they would be suitable for the role.
The festival is encouraging early applications, as the position is currently vacant and interviews will commence on a rolling basis until the role is filled.
