(Newcastle Fringe Festival)
Newy 87.8 FM – Newcastle Fringe Festival is calling for volunteers to help bring the next edition of the independent arts celebration to life.
Organisers say the festival doesn't happen without its volunteers, describing them as the friendly faces and helping hands who support the event each year.
Volunteering offers a behind-the-scenes look at one of Newcastle's biggest celebrations of independent arts. Volunteers can meet artists from Newcastle, Australia and around the world, connect with other arts-loving locals and gain hands-on festival experience.
The festival says there's a place for anyone looking to build experience in events and the arts, meet new people, support independent artists, or simply be part of something fun and creative.
No festival experience is required. Organisers say volunteers just need to bring enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved.
