Newy 87.8 FM – An award-winning Council-led solar and battery program has reopened, offering households in Newcastle, Maitland and Lake Macquarie more incentives to make the switch.
The program is expected to help cut household power bills across the three local government areas by more than $760,000 per year.
The scheme has returned by popular demand following its earlier run, with additional incentives now on offer for residents looking to install solar and battery systems.
The program covers households across Newcastle, Maitland and Lake Macquarie, giving residents in all three areas the opportunity to take part.
The combined savings of more than $760,000 annually would be shared across participating households in the region.
Residents in the three council areas can now access the reopened program and its expanded incentives to reduce their power bills through solar and battery technology.
