Newy 87.8 FM – A major relic of St Carlo Acutis is touring the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle, with all invited to encounter the message that made him a saint for our times.
Known for his deep love of the Eucharist and his passion for sharing the Gospel through modern technology, St Carlo Acutis continues to inspire people around the world.
The Diocese says the St Carlo Acutis Major Relic Mission is an invitation to encounter the story of the saint and how he encouraged people to participate in the life of the Catholic Church.
St Carlo Acutis outlined five core practices for reaching holiness and heaven.
These are participating in the Holy Mass, spending time in Eucharistic Adoration, receiving regular Confession, turning to the Blessed Mother through the Rosary, and practising acts of charity.
As the relic tours the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle, all are invited to take part in the mission and encounter the message that made Carlo a saint for our times.
