State Significant Development applications on public exhibition in Muswellbrook Shire

Newy 87.8 FM – Muswellbrook Shire Council has advised the community that State Significant Development (SSD) applications are currently on public exhibition as part of the NSW Government's assessment process.
Council has stressed the applications are not Muswellbrook Shire Council development applications. Council is not the consent authority and will not determine whether the projects are approved.
Instead, the applications will be determined by the Minister for Planning and Public Spaces, or the Independent Planning Commission.
Community members can view the application documents and make a submission directly through the NSW Government's Major Projects Planning Portal during the relevant exhibition periods.
Anyone wishing to comment on a proposal should make their submission through the relevant project page on the portal before the applicable closing date.
Council said it is sharing the information to ensure the community is aware of the current public exhibition periods and has the opportunity to participate in the NSW Government's assessment process.
