Five-hectare hazard reduction burn underway in Tomaree National Park near Nelson Bay

Newy 87.8 FM – A planned hazard reduction burn is being carried out in Tomaree National Park at Nelson Bay, in the Port Stephens local government area.
The operation, listed as "Polyclinic HR" on the NSW Rural Fire Service major incidents feed, is classified at the Planned Burn alert level.
The burn covers an area of five hectares, and its status is listed as under control.
The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service is the agency responsible for the operation.
