Water main break cuts supply to Denman Road and Muswellbrook Industrial Area

Newy 87.8 FM – Water supply has been interrupted along Denman Road and in the Muswellbrook Industrial Area following a break on the 375mm water main at Ramrod Creek.

Muswellbrook Shire Council says the water main has been isolated to allow emergency repairs, affecting properties beyond the break, including the Muswellbrook Industrial Area.

Council Works staff and contractors are on site undertaking emergency repairs, with works expected to be completed this afternoon.

Affected residents or businesses who require bottled drinking water during the interruption can contact Council on 02 6549 3700 for assistance.

Council staff are also contacting affected residents and businesses directly to advise them of the interruption.

Once repairs are complete, the water main will be gradually returned to service and the system flushed as required.

Council has apologised for the inconvenience and thanked affected residents and businesses for their patience while the emergency works are completed.
