Newy 87.8 FM – Sanitarium Health Food Company's Weet-Bix Wearable Blanket has been recalled, with Product Safety Australia publishing the recall notice on 20 August 2026.
The product is a wearable hooded blanket sold in child and adult sizes.
According to the recall notice, the products do not comply with the mandatory standard for children's nightwear and do not include the required fire hazard warning label.
Product Safety Australia warns there is a risk of serious burn injuries if the product is exposed to a heat or flame source, and that consumers may not be aware of this risk.
Consumers are advised to stop using the blanket immediately and place it away from heat sources or flames.
Customers should contact Sanitarium to arrange to return the product for a full refund.
