Newy 87.8 FM – Wilkinson Avenue in Muswellbrook has been temporarily closed due to a water main break near the intersection of Hayden Street.
Muswellbrook Shire Council says a detour is being established to maintain access to the Muswellbrook Aquatic and Fitness Centre and properties along Wilkinson Avenue while emergency works are carried out.
The bridge over Muscle Creek on Wilder Street will be temporarily opened to allow access during the closure.
Motorists are asked to follow traffic controls and signage in place and to allow additional travel time.
Council crews are working to complete the emergency repairs and reopen Wilkinson Avenue as soon as possible.
Council has apologised for the inconvenience and says it appreciates the community's patience while the essential works are undertaken. Further information will be provided as it becomes available.
