Programmed Turnpoint appointed to build Lovedale Farm championship golf course

Newy 87.8 FM – Specialist golf construction firm Programmed Turnpoint has been appointed to build the 18-hole championship golf course at Capital Corporation's Lovedale Farm development on Wine Country Drive at Lovedale, in the Cessnock local government area.
The developer says Turnpoint's portfolio includes Cape Wickham, Magenta Shores and The Cliffs Kangaroo Island. The team on the Lovedale project is led by Justin Trott, President of the Society of Australian Golf Course Architects.
The course has been designed by Darius Oliver, who also designed Cape Wickham on King Island.
Lovedale Farm sits on a 240-hectare site at 1184 Wine Country Drive, with more than half the site dedicated to green space and recreation.
The approved masterplan, with Cessnock City Council as consent authority, covers an integrated tourist development comprising the golf course, a 50-room hotel, 250 serviced apartments, 300 lots, a function centre, an Aboriginal heritage centre, retail and food outlets, and spa and recreation facilities.
A modification to the development was unanimously approved by the Hunter and Central Coast Regional Planning Panel on 1 July 2024, with conditions imposed at the golf course interface.
Land and curated home-and-land packages are currently selling through Colliers, with the developer stating curated home and land is over 75 per cent sold. A display home is on site at Lovedale, with a display gallery at Hunter Valley Gardens, Pokolbin.
