Newy 87.8 FM – Muswellbrook Shire Council has received a development application proposing the demolition of an existing service station and alterations and additions to retail premises at 72-78 Brook Street, Muswellbrook.
The application, DA 2026-138, is on public exhibition between 15 October 2026 and 13 November 2026.
Any person wishing to make a submission on the proposed development should do so in writing through the NSW Planning Portal or by emailing council@muswellbrook.nsw.gov.au.
Submissions must be addressed to the General Manager, Muswellbrook Shire Council, and lodged before the close of business on the final day of exhibition. Council says any submission made as an objection should be supported by the grounds for that objection.
Residents who wish to be contacted about the progression of the matter are asked to include their contact information, including a preferred contact email address, in any submission or correspondence.
Council advises that all submissions, including personal information, will be made available for public inspection and may be included in full in reports to Council, government agencies or other relevant bodies in the determination of the application. All reports are published in the Council Business Paper, which is available to the public.
